Portland has been my home for 26 years and I have practiced as a Social Worker for over 18. I grew up in San Francisco and lived for years in Brooklyn, NY and carry a bit of the sensibility of each of those cities with me.

I have experience with clients who work in medical, legal and counseling professions and those who are addressing depression, anxiety, grief or medical challenges. I enjoy working with individuals and couples - LGBTQIA2 or straight - as they consider or move forward with family-building, face fertility challenges or adjust to parenting.

I have strong opinions about sports teams but will only share if asked.

How We Work

Sessions are collaborative, focusing first on your strengths and what is going well. Then, as we look at the difficulties you’re facing, we build on those abilities. I encourage listening to your own voice and building confidence as you experience transitions and challenges. You can expect sessions that are supportive, compassionate and sometimes challenging, with a good bit of humor.

Using a Family Systems framework we can identify how you are shaped by your family of origin and the impact that those patterns and roles play in your current relationships and sense of self. We work on the ability to make connections, create community, strengthen your voice and to expand your passions and interests. Additionally, we can draw upon Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness to help support understanding and change.
